Captured Moments

Patrick O’Rourke and Oscar yi Hou

22 – 24 Jul 2016

Venue: Road Works Gallery
Captured Moments kicks off the Road season of contemporary and fine arts with an exhibition showcasing the work of two accomplished artists who incorporate themes of time, memory and place within their compositions.

Patrick O’Rourke has been practising for over a decade and concentrates on the wider urban social landscape as well as the domestic, using materials such as charcoal and found objects to depict representations of everyday life

while Oscar yi Hou, at just 17, surprises you with his fine art figurative style, exploring his personal existential questions relating to coming of age in modern times.

Both artists offer up images as time capsules, immortalising moments within canvases which contain their own unique episodes.
