David Howe

28th June-1st Sep 2018
Road Street View Gallery window,
69- 67 Victoria Street, Liverpool

David Howe’s ‘Street View’ drawings are inspired by the buildings of Liverpool’s industrial past, before the docks and traditional manufacturing industries went into sharp decline. The piece also experiments with panoramas, creating a wide view of the buildings in a stark, black and white fashion with all the grit that comes with the character of these buildings.
The exhibition will also include a performance piece on Tuesday 19th June involving a live drawing in The ROAD Studios Street View Gallery window.

The  Performance was captured  on a  time-lapse video in One day

The exhibition was extended, so it could be shown as part of the ROAD Studios biennial Program 18.

This was the final exhibition in 69- 67 Victoria Street, Liverpool as Signature Living a property developer  brought the Building and started to work on the restoration of the building to make into a bar area for the planned  Dixie Dean Hotel as the window piece blocked out the public view it was allowed to stay up.
